of Events: |
- Team
greeted and signed in stakeholders, citizens, elected and
appointed officials.
- Team
circulated meeting room to introduce study, explain purpose
and details of study.
- Two
display stations were set-up to give detailed information
on study facts, timeline, study area, public participation
and possible outcomes of the study.
- A
Powerpoint presentation was running during the entire meeting
to give additional photos of the study area and facts regarding
the study.
- Michael
Davis gave an introduction and recognition to attending
elected officials and WSAC members.
- John
Hulsey, Subrata Basu, Carolyn Dekle and Commissioner Katy
Sorenson spoke about the importance of the study and of
public participation to make the study an accurate and effective
tool for the future of South Miami-Dade County.
- A
table for public comments and questionaire was set-up for
all attendees to give input and opinions.
- Agendas,
Newsletters and Fact Sheets in English and Spanish were
given to all attendees at the sign-in station.
- The
Mobile Information Station (MIS) was open for interested
attendees to go aboard and see displays on the bus.
- Team
members spoke one-on-one with attendees to answer questions
regarding the study.
